What's this all about?

Thanks for taking time learn about the opportunity I have to be a part of the Forge Internship with International Teams Canada.

International Teams Canada is a Christian organization that strives to end poverty through coming alongside individuals and communities. The vision and mission of the organization is to see lives transformed by the power of God! iTeams does this through providing education and the necessities of life to vulnerable people around the world.

As a Forge Intern I get the opportunity to go and work alongside local leaders in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. Working alongside the local leaders in these countries means I will be collaborating, listening, and learning from them and the communities, as well as working with them to improve the programs to continue to see communities and individuals flourish. With the local leaders and my fellow intern, we will be working on reflecting on the transformational work God is doing in their communities. With this information, we will be able to develop strategic plans together and add velocity to life changing efforts around the world.

I am excited to travel and live in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala, to work alongside the local leaders to reflect and review the impacts that these programs have made. This blog will be dedicated to sharing stories of transformation, updating you - my family, friends and donors - on the work that God is doing through these programs.

I cannot express how excited to be working for an organization that places huge value on faith being an integral part of the development work. Moreover, iTeams strives for transformational development - this is long-term relationship building, empowering of local leaders and communities, adding velocity to the passionate local leaders and community work being down, and more than anything seeing communities find their purpose through God and discovering His love!

Through your support - be it financial or spiritual - know that you are a major player in the transforming work and development that is being done! Without your support - none of this would be able to succeed!
